PSP Secretary-General Nasser to LBCI: There is a lack of understanding of our political convictions

The Secretary-General of the Progressive Socialist Party (PSP), Zafer Nasser, expressed that there is a "lack of understanding of our political convictions by some political forces."

On LBCI's "Nharkom Said" TV show, he acknowledged that there are differences in perception, evaluation, and viewpoints, noting that "we have never been able to unite, and therefore, our stance on the war in the south or any other issue will not significantly impact the overall political landscape."

Nasser emphasized that the PSP is "in favor of dialogue on major issues," stressing that "dialogue is the only way to address differences among us and always proves beneficial in Lebanon."

He added, "We are committed to respecting each other's convictions, and this does not negate the right of any political party to express its views. We are against accusations of treason."

Regarding the relationship between the PSP and the Lebanese Forces, Nasser revealed that "despite all the differences, communication is ongoing, and meetings between us continue, where we discuss various topics with honesty and clarity." He also mentioned that there has been an agreement to maintain contact and seek consensus on various issues where cooperation is possible.

Finally, Nasser pointed out that the PSP had not convinced the other side to engage in dialogue to elect a new president.
