Icom Japan says it cannot confirm the shipment of a wireless product linked to explosions in Lebanon

Icom, the Japanese wireless communication equipment manufacturer, said it cannot confirm whether the company shipped a product linked to the explosions that occurred in Lebanon.

The company added that the batteries required to operate the device, which has not been sold for about 10 years, have also been discontinued.

It continued that the products it exports are subject to strict regulatory processes set by the Japanese government.
