US Embassy spokesperson says no evacuation of American citizens is currently underway

The spokesperson for the U.S. Embassy, Sama Habib, confirmed to LBCI that the embassy is not currently evacuating American citizens.

Habib clarified that "this is a commercially available flight," noting that "American citizens who have expressed interest in leaving Lebanon must book it and pay for it directly with the airline."
