Israeli army strikes tunnel from Lebanon to Syria, claims it was used for weapons smuggling

On Friday, the Israeli army announced it struck an underground tunnel crossing from the Lebanese border into Syria on Thursday.

The army claimed the strike was intended to prevent weapons smuggling into Lebanon.

"The 3.5-kilometer long tunnel enables the transfer and storage of large quantities of weapons underground," it further claimed.
