Classes at Lebanese University remain suspended as president announces new timeline

Bassam Badran, president of the Lebanese University, announced the extension of the suspension of classes in all faculties, institutes, and branches of the university until the evening of Sunday, Oct. 13.

In a statement, Badran said administrative work will resume at the minimum required level in a rotational manner to facilitate transactions and urgent needs in the central administration and accessible units, starting Monday, Oct. 7.

He emphasized the importance of adhering to public safety measures due to the ongoing Israeli aggression against Lebanon, while also ensuring the minimum necessary for administrative and financial operations related to the rights of workers and students.

Badran noted that the university presidency will issue further statements based on developments.
