Hezbollah marks anniversary of Al-Aqsa Flood operation, renews call for Palestinian resistance

Hezbollah issued a statement Monday marking the first anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation, calling it "a pivotal event in Palestinian resistance against Israeli occupation."

The group called for continued resistance against what it described as decades of aggression and injustice since Israel's creation in 1948.

In the statement, Hezbollah reiterated its full support for Palestinian efforts to reclaim their land and rights, describing the Al-Aqsa operation as a "heroic moment with historic and strategic implications for the region."

"The Palestinian people have the full right to resist the occupation by all means to restore their legitimate rights and remove the occupation," the statement said.

Hezbollah accused Israel of ongoing "brutality and savagery," particularly in Gaza, where it said tens of thousands of Palestinians have been killed and large-scale destruction has occurred. The group described Israel as "fragile," claiming the state could not survive without U.S. support.

Hezbollah also condemned the United States and its allies, accusing them of complicity in the suffering inflicted on Palestinians and the Lebanese people.

"There is no place for this temporary Zionist entity in our region," the statement added, calling Israel a "cancerous entity" that must be removed.

The statement commended the resilience of the Palestinian people despite a year of hardship and praised fighters in Yemen and Iraq, along with the Islamic Republic of Iran, for their support of the Palestinian cause. Hezbollah said Iran's missile strikes on Israel were a "significant contribution to the ongoing confrontation."

Hezbollah also defended its decision to open a new front on Oct. 8 to support Palestinian fighters, calling it a necessary act of solidarity and defense of Lebanon.

The group acknowledged the toll this decision has taken on Lebanon, citing the displacement of civilians, destruction of property, and continued Israeli aggression.

Despite the costs, Hezbollah expressed confidence in its ability to repel Israeli attacks and praised the Lebanese people's endurance.

"The era of defeats is over," the statement concluded. "The victory of God has arrived."
