Israel claims airstrike in Beirut kills Hezbollah logistics chief Suhail Hussein Husseini

The head of Hezbollah's logistical headquarters, Suhail Hussein Husseini, was killed in an Israeli airstrike on Beirut on Monday, the Israeli army announced.

Avichay Adraee posted on X on Tuesday that "the Israeli army have eliminated Suhail Hussein Husseini, the head of Hezbollah's operations unit, in a precise airstrike in Beirut," he stated.

"Husseini was a key figure in Hezbollah's logistics unit, responsible for managing budgets and organizing various systems," Adraee claimed.

"He played a significant role in agreements for transporting military equipment between Iran and Hezbollah and was in charge of distributing smuggled weaponry to different units within the organization," he added.

"Additionally, he was a member of the Jihad Council, Hezbollah's highest military forum," Adraee noted.

"The operations unit also includes a division for analysis and development, which focuses on the manufacturing of precision-guided missiles and logistics concerning the storage and transportation of weapons within Lebanon," he stated.

"In his position, Husseini was involved in setting budgets and managing the logistics of the organization's most sensitive projects, including operational plans for warfare and other specific strategies, such as executing terrorist operations against Israel from Lebanese and Syrian territories," Adraee claimed.
