Israel's UN Envoy proposes relocating UNIFIL forces in Lebanon amid rising tensions

Israel's envoy to the United Nations stated that Israel is focused on combating Hezbollah while continuing dialogue and coordination with UNIFIL.

The envoy has recommended relocating UNIFIL forces five kilometers north to mitigate risks as fighting intensifies in the region.

During his statements, the envoy emphasized that Israel does not wish to maintain a presence in Lebanon but will "do what is necessary" to keep Hezbollah away from its northern borders.
