Israeli army claims targeted strike 'eliminates' Hezbollah aerial unit operative Ali Barakat

The Israeli military claimed on Sunday that it "eliminated" Ali Barakat, a member of Hezbollah’s Aerial Unit (127), "in a precise, intelligence-based strike."

Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee reported that Ali Barakat spent "over a decade planning and carrying out UAV attacks on Israel."

Barakat was involved in developing cruise missiles and UAVs for Hezbollah, he added.

"The Israeli army will continue to operate against Hezbollah’s Aerial Unit, eliminating its operatives and dismantling its infrastructure," Adraee noted in a post on X.
