Israel's Adraee alleges that additional strikes on Beirut's suburbs targeted 'Hezbollah's infrastructure'

The Israeli army claimed to have conducted another wave of airstrikes on 'Hezbollah targets' in Beirut's southern suburbs overnight and into Thursday morning.

According to a statement from the Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee, the strikes allegedly targeted weapons depots, military headquarters, and other infrastructure linked to Hezbollah.

"Over the past two days, the Israeli military has carried out multiple waves of airstrikes in the southern Beirut area, hitting over 30 Hezbollah-linked sites. The strikes are described as part of a broader campaign to weaken Hezbollah's operational capabilities, focusing on the destruction of weapon storage facilities and production sites that have been established in Beirut's densely populated neighborhoods over recent years," Adraee claimed.

The Israeli army alleges that these targets are situated within civilian areas, asserting that "this demonstrates Hezbollah's use of civilians as human shields."
