Israeli army claims targeting 'Hezbollah stronghold' in South Lebanon

Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee claimed in a post on X  that Israeli forces launched a ground operation targeting what they described as a "central terrorist stronghold" of Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.

"The 98th Division has begun a raid on targets in a central Hezbollah terrorist stronghold in southern Lebanon," Adraee stated.

He added that ''the operation involves targeted raids in multiple areas to eliminate various threats based on precise intelligence."

Adraee concluded that ''the raids are accompanied by "intense fire cover," with dozens of targets already struck. These include locations from which numerous rockets have been launched toward Israel, as well as Hezbollah command centers, weapon depots, and reconnaissance sites.''
