Israel's army says launched 'third wave' of airstrikes on Hezbollah sites in Beirut’s southern suburbs: Army spokesperson

The Israeli army claimed to have launched its "third wave" of airstrikes targeting Hezbollah's sites in Beirut's southern suburbs.

Israel's army spokesperson Avichay Adraee said in a post on X that his country's military conducted a series of airstrikes earlier on Saturday, targeting military leadership headquarters of Hezbollah in Beirut's southern suburbs, with intelligence guidance from the Military Intelligence Directorate.

"Throughout the past week, Israeli army aircraft have bombed dozens of Hezbollah command posts, weapon depots, military buildings, and other infrastructure in the southern suburbs of Beirut," he stated.

These airstrikes, according to him, "are part of ongoing efforts to target Hezbollah's ability to execute operations against Israel and to destroy weapons storage and production sites that the group has established over the years in the heart of Beirut."
