Israel's army claims to uncover weapons depot in south Lebanon, seizing explosives and rocket launchers

The Israel army claimed on Monday that its forces operating in southern Lebanon have uncovered a weapons depot containing more than 100 explosive devices, 20 rocket launchers, and dozens of rockets.

In a post on X, Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee said: "The 769th Brigade continues its operations in southern Lebanon in accordance with understandings between Israel and Lebanon."

"As part of a battalion-wide operation, Golani [Brigade] fighters identified additional targets in southern Lebanon. During their activities, the forces conducted sweeps of buildings in the area and discovered a weapons cache holding over 100 explosive devices and approximately 20 various types of rocket launchers," he noted.

He further alleged that: "Additionally, during other raids, the fighters found mortar shells and other tactical military equipment. All the combat materials were confiscated and destroyed."
