French President Emmanuel Macron arrives in Beirut amid key political developments in Lebanon

President Emmanuel Macron and French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot arrived in Beirut on Friday for a one-day official visit.

Prime Minister Najib Mikati and the French ambassador welcomed them at the airport.

The visit comes as Lebanon navigates significant political developments, including the recent appointment of Nawaf Salam as Prime Minister-designate and intensified discussions surrounding the country’s economic and political reforms.
