Israeli army warns southern Lebanon residents against returning amid accusations against Hezbollah

Avichay Adraee, spokesperson for the Israeli army, posted on X addressing residents of Lebanon, particularly those in the south, claiming that ''Hezbollah is prioritizing its interests over those of the Lebanese state.''

In his post, Adraee stated, "Hezbollah, as usual, puts its narrow interests above those of the Lebanese state and is using its propaganda channels to escalate tensions, despite being the primary cause of destruction in southern Lebanon."

Adraee added, "Shortly, we will continue to inform you about safe areas to return to. Until then, we ask you to wait and not allow Hezbollah to use you as a cover for the devastating consequences of its irresponsible decisions at the expense of Lebanon's security."

He also reaffirmed that previous instructions regarding restricted areas remain in effect until further notice, emphasizing that returning to the designated border villages shown on the map is prohibited.
