Israeli army announces restrictions on movement in South Lebanon

The Israeli army announced an extension of movement restrictions in South Lebanon, warning residents against returning to their homes in affected areas.  

In a statement on X, Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee said that the military remains deployed in the field and that "movement southward remains prohibited until further notice."  

"The Israeli army does not intend to harm you. For your safety, it is forbidden to return to your homes in the affected areas until further notice," the statement read.  

The army warned that anyone attempting to move southward would be putting themselves at risk.
