Abbas Ibrahim appears for questioning in Beirut Port explosion investigation

Former General Security chief Major General Abbas Ibrahim appeared before Judge Tarek Bitar on Friday for questioning in the Beirut Port explosion investigation.

Ibrahim had previously filed a lawsuit under Article 741, which allows individuals to sue the state over alleged misconduct by judicial authorities.

Judge Bitar now has the option to either move forward with the questioning or postpone it until the case against the state is resolved.
