Lebanese Army statement: Three Lebanese soldiers killed in ammunition blast in South Lebanon

The Lebanese Army released a statement confirming the killing of a Lebanese Army officer and two soldiers on Sunday when ammunition being transported inside a military vehicle exploded in the Braikeh area of the southern Nabatieh district. 

Several civilians were also injured in the blast.

The Lebanese Army identified the fallen as Lieutenant Mahmoud Ahmad Zeitoun, First Sergeant Ali Ibrahim Ahmad, and First Sergeant Jawdat Salim Noura.

Military investigative units have launched a probe to determine the cause of the explosion and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
