MP Jumblatt: Lebanon's intervention in the Syrian crisis is a 'dangerous ordeal'

Head of the National Struggle Front MP Walid Jumblatt said that direct attacks against the Lebanese Armed Forces as well as sniping operations require a firm stance to show support for the military institution.

Jumblatt said that protecting the Lebanese army should be considered a priority that goes beyond other scenarios that the country is witnessing such as the debate regarding the electoral law.

In this regard, MP Jumblatt asked how some parties are expecting to hold the elections in the midst of this tense atmosphere and in light of the social and economic challenges.

Jumblatt added that Lebanon's intervention in the Syrian crisis is a "dangerous ordeal that will put an end to all previously accomplished goals and lead the country towards the abyss".
