Macron and Starmer: We call on all parties to de-escalate situation in Middle East

French President Emmanuel Macron said on Thursday, after meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Paris, that they discussed the need to de-escalate the situation in the Middle East and reiterated their call for an immediate ceasefire.

Macron added that he committed to strengthening relations with Britain in defense and security, as well as in areas such as immigration and energy.

He also agreed with Starmer on the importance of continuing support for Ukraine to ensure its defense and security, given its impact on the overall defense and security of the European continent.
