El Sisi tells Blinken Egypt rejects attempts to escalate regional conflict

On Wednesday, a statement from the Egyptian presidency said President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi informed U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken that Cairo rejects any attempts to escalate tensions in the region.

The statement also noted that Egypt supports Lebanon following the attack on pager devices.
