Kremlin says expanding geographical scope of Middle East conflict has catastrophic consequences

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday that the geographical expansion of the conflict in the Middle East, reaching Lebanon, has catastrophic consequences for the region.

Peskov made these remarks in response to a question about the possibility of Israel preparing for military action in Syria, a close ally of Russia.
