Magnitude 6.1 earthquake strikes eastern Turkey region: EMSC

A magnitude 6.1 earthquake struck eastern Turkey on Wednesday, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre said.

The quake was at a depth of 9 km below the earth, EMSC said.
