Blaze near Jerusalem sparked by missile or interception, firefighters say

Israeli firefighters were tackling a blaze Monday west of Jerusalem, which the service said was caused by missile fragments or interceptions.

"Simultaneously with the extinguishing operations, the firefighters are carrying out additional scans in the area to rule out additional fires and damage from interceptor/missile shrapnel," Beit Shemesh, the Jerusalem region fire service, said in a statement.
