UN suspends operations in Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen for security reasons

The U.N. announced on Friday that it has suspended all official movements to and within Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen until further notice.

In a statement, the U.N. explained that the decision was made to ensure the safety of its staff after Houthi authorities detained additional U.N. personnel in the Sana'a region on Thursday.
