Syria says discussed 'justice' for Assad's victims with Russian delegation

Syria's new government said Wednesday it had discussed "transitional justice" with a Russian delegation in Damascus, aiming to deliver "justice for the victims of the brutal war waged by the Assad regime."

"The new administration... stressed that restoring relations must address past mistakes, respect the will of the Syrian people, and serve their interests," said a statement from the Syrian administration, which replaced the government of President Bashar al-Assad, who fled to Russia after his fall last December.
