Iranian lawmakers vote to sack finance minister: State media

Iran's parliament sacked the country's finance minister on Sunday after initiating impeachment proceedings over his handling of high inflation and a plummeting currency, state TV reported.

Economy and Finance Minister Abdolnaser Hemmati lost a vote of confidence, with 182 of 273 parliamentarians present at the impeachment session voting against him.
