Iran slams US 'hypocrisy' after sanctions on oil minister

Iran on Friday slammed what it called "hypocrisy" by the United States after Washington announced new sanctions targeting its oil minister.

Foreign ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei said in a statement the move demonstrates U.S. "hypocrisy," as Washington has repeatedly called for nuclear talks with Tehran, adding that the sanctions serve as "another clear proof of the falsity of these statements and another sign of its hostility to development."
