Semi-naked Lebanese protester reveals tragic story from his hospital bed

A Lebanese man who participated on Wednesday in the Union Coordinating Committee’s protests by appearing semi-naked, revealed his story to LBCI on Thursday.

The man, who had held a placard reading: "Am I human? Am I Lebanese? Or an Ass?" said he was released from police custody after he had swallowed a light bulb. He also said that he was arrested under no charge, but under the command of the General Prosecution.

Miled Abou Malhab, who spoke from his hospital bed is not insane, nor does he tell a funny story; he is merely an example of the Lebanese people's daily suffering.

Abou Malhab, who lashed out at the Lebanese government, sheds light on the dire living conditions citizens are enduring.

A constant reminder, that the cry for change comes from those who suffer the most.
