The Hygeia Hospital in Athens confirmed on Monday that Greek singer Demis Roussos, who sold more than 60 million albums worldwide, died aged 68 after suffering from an undisclosed illness for some time.

Roussos, the Egyptian-born singer, became popular in the 1960s and 1970s and sold about 60 million records globally.
