MP Jean Obeid passes away of Coronavirus aged 82

MP Jean Obeid passed away on Monday aged 82 due to health complications after contracting Coronavirus.

Obeid is a Lebanese journalist who served as a lawmaker, a former minister and a former advisor to Presidents Elias Sarkis and Amine Gemayel.

He was born on May 1939 in the Zgharta town of Alma.
