REPORT: No student elections at NDU this year

The Free Patriotic Movement student party at Notre Dame University (NDU) decided to boycott the student cabinet elections to voice their objection of the current electoral law. Accordingly, the March 14 student party won the 40 seats of the Student Board.

Many have thought that the elections would not be held following rumors depicting a disagreement over the distribution of seats between the two allies: Lebanese Forces (LF) and Kataeb.

However, the two allies reached a decision, distributing the seats as follows: 26 seats for the Lebanese Forces which will be presiding over the Student Board, 12 seats for Kataeb and 2 seats for Ahrar.

As for the FPM student party, it will call on students to sign a petition to change the electoral law in force.
