Britain charges five Bulgarians with spying for Russia

On Thursday, the British prosecution announced charges against three men and two women holding Bulgarian citizenship on suspicion of spying for Russia.

The five suspects, whose ages range from 29 to 45 years, will stand trial on charges of "conspiring to gather information directly or indirectly useful to an enemy to impact the security and interests of the state" between 2020 and 2023, as announced by the Crown Prosecution Service in a statement.
