France calls for de-escalation after reports of Israeli attack on Iran

French Deputy Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot said on Friday that France calls for a halt to escalation in the Middle East, following reports that Israel launched an airstrike on Iranian territory earlier on Friday.

Barrot told Radio Sud, "All I can say is that France's position is a call for all parties to halt the escalation and exercise restraint."
