Police announce arrest of 88 protesters in Armenia over transfer of land to Azerbaijan

Armenian police announced the arrest of 88 protesters who were attempting on Monday morning to block main roads in Yerevan in protest against the transfer of land to Azerbaijan as part of peace talks between the neighbors to close a decades-old conflict.

The police confirmed that those detained were arrested for 'refusing to comply' with their orders, affirming that all roads in Yerevan are open."
