US President Biden has confidence in Secret Service chief after Trump shooting: White House

US President Joe Biden has confidence in the director of the Secret Service, the White House said Monday as the agency faces intense scrutiny after the assassination attempt on Donald Trump.

"Yes," Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said when asked if Biden retained confidence in Kimberly Cheatle, adding however that the Secret Service was "working hard to examine what happened."
