UK PM Starmer says looks forward to 'working closely' with EU's von der Leyen

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Thursday congratulated Ursula von der Leyen on securing another term as European Commission president, noting he eagerly anticipated "working closely" with the EU chief.

"I look forward to working closely with you to reset the relationship between the UK and the European Union," Starmer told von der Leyen on X, as he hosted European leaders at a summit in central England.
