Syrian suspect confesses to Germany knife attack: police

The main suspect in a knife attack in the German city of Solingen, which left three dead, has given himself up and confessed in custody, police said in a statement Sunday.

The man, a Syrian national aged 26, has been provisionally arrested, and his involvement "in the events is currently the subject of a thorough investigation," said the statement.
