Eurozone inflation falls to three-year low in August

The eurozone's annual inflation rate fell to its lowest level in over three years this month thanks to falling energy costs, official data showed on Friday.

Consumer prices slowed to 2.2 percent in August from 2.6 percent in July this year. The rate was the lowest since July 2021 and is in line with expectations by analysts surveyed by FactSet and Bloomberg.
