US attorney general pledges thorough probe of Trump assassination attempt

U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland vowed Monday to deploy "every available resource" in the investigation of the latest assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump.

“We are grateful that the former president is safe,” Garland said in a statement. “We will work tirelessly to ensure accountability, and we will bring every available resource to bear in this investigation.”
