The US urges Israel to hold off on major ground offensive in Lebanon: WSJ

Citing informed sources, the Wall Street Journal reported that Israel is facing heavy pressure from the United States to refrain from launching a large-scale ground invasion in Lebanon.

The American newspaper also reported that, according to people familiar with the matter, Israeli forces "have been carrying out small, targeted raids into southern Lebanon, gathering intelligence and probing ahead of a possible broader ground incursion that could come as soon as this week."
