Russia maintains emergency communication channels with NATO for emergencies

The Russian news agency reported that Alexander Grushko, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia, stated that senior defense officials from Russia, the United States, and NATO maintain communication channels; however, this is primarily for emergencies and not for finding ways to ease tensions.
