Putin tells Pezeshkian he wants to 'strengthen' ties with Iran

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday told Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian he wanted to further "strengthen" ties with Tehran, which has been widely accused of sending weapons to Moscow for use in Ukraine.

"One of the main tasks in our relations is to strengthen the emerging positive trend in trade and economic cooperation," Putin said.
