Dollar slides on report Donald Trump to delay tariffs

The dollar slid versus the euro and pound Monday after The Wall Street Journal reported that Donald Trump would not immediately impose tariffs upon his inauguration as U.S. president.

The dollar shed 1.1 percent against the European single currency, to $1.0398 per euro, and 0.9 percent versus sterling, to 1.2297 pounds.
