Citizen kidnapped at dawn in Baaloul West Bekaa while heading to mosque with his son
Four unidentified unmasked gunmen driving a black Mercedes intercepted the car of citizen Ahmad Ali Sayyed Sakher in Baaloul town in Jib Jennin in the West Bekaa at 4 a.m. on Thursday. Sayyed was heading to one of the town’s mosques to perform the morning prayers with his son.

One of the kidnappers beat Sayyed’s son until he passed out, before kidnapping his father. Ali Ahmad Sakher, son of Sayyed, said that last week, gunmen tried to kidnap his father in Chtoura but failed. Ali added that his father suffers from heart disease.

For his part, the head of Baaloul’s municipality Ahmad Al Fakih urged the state to find the perpetrators immediately.

Security forces launched an investigation into the incident to disclose the identity of the abductors. They also took pictures from the surveillance cameras set in front of Sayyed’s home and across the town’s roads.
