REPORT: Pollution of Nahr al-Jawz in Batroun reaches alarming levels

Nahr al-Jawz river in the district of Batroun has become a river of garbage, due to years of recklessly dumping waste in the river’s waters.

 

The level of water pollution has increased significantly, mainly because of the numerous refugee tents set up around the river’s course, particularly in the villages of Beit Chlela and Kfarhelda.
