Artist Ziad Itani was released on Tuesday from the Directorate of the Internal Security Forces, and he stressed that he was accused of the worst kind of charges.
Itani saluted President Michel Aoun, Prime Minister Saad Hariri and Interior Minister Nouhad al-Mashnouq.
Earlier, Ziad Itani’s mother had said: “My son is innocent and the elections have nothing to do with his release, he was jailed based on a fabricated file.”
