Israeli army claims assassinating Hezbollah's Bint Jbeil Commander Ahmad Jaafar Maatouk and his successor

The Israeli army claimed that they assassinated Hezbollah's Bint Jbeil sector commander, Ahmad Jaafar Maatouk, and his successor over the past 24 hours.

According to the army spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, Israeli airstrikes, directed by Northern Command intelligence, targeted Maatouk and later his replacement within a day.

The strikes also reportedly killed Hezbollah's head of artillery in the Bint Jbeil area.

The Israeli army stated that Maatouk was allegedly involved in overseeing multiple planned operations against Israel, including rocket and anti-tank missile attacks on Israeli forces stationed near southern Lebanon.
