The body of late renowned director and TV producer Simon Asmar was transported on Friday from the Rizk hospital to the Saint Georges Cathedral in Beirut downtown.

He will be later transported to his hometown Ghazir where he will be laid to rest.

Asmar passed away on Wednesday aged 76 after a long battle with illness.
