The activists who were arrested on Friday by the Lebanese army in Jal el Dib have been released.
A number of protesters had been arrested earlier in the morning after they blocked the highway in the area of Jal el Dib in both directions, in an attempt to exert pressure on the officials to hasten the parliamentary consultations.
The Lebanese army reopened the road.
